Fintech ACPR Tech Sprint on the explainability of artificial intelligence
The ACPR held its first Tech Sprint – also known as a regulatory hackathon – in June and July 2021. The challenge focused on the explainability of artificial intelligence (AI).
More precisely, participants were asked to generate explanations to understand the behaviour of credit risk predictive models based on AI and only accessible as “black boxes”.
This report describes the Tech Sprint, summarises the key lessons learned, and outlines potential further work by the ACPR’s Fintech-Innovation Hub.
