The consultative committees

The ACPR’s Supervisory College relies on several consultative committees to provide guidance on specific topics.

 

The Consultative Committee on Prudential Affairs

The Consultative Committee on Prudential Affairs (CCAP, Commission Consultative des Affaires Prudentielles) is tasked with giving its opinion on ACPR's instructions on the submission of prudential periodic statements by supervised entities before their adoption. The CCAP is also consulted for advice on draft notices or explanatory guides.

The Consultative Committee on Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing

 

It is tasked with giving its opinion on draft versions of instructions,guidelines and other ACPR documents dealing with the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing. It is chaired by Christian Babusiaux, and vicechaired by Francis Assié.

The Consultative Committee on Business Practices

It gives an opinion on draft recommendations falling within its areas of expertise, goes deeper into issues relating to business practices identified by the ACPR and gathers information and suggestions from its members on customer protection. It is chaired by Emmanuel Constans, and vicechaired by Jean-François Lemoux.

Consultative Committee on Climate and Sustainable Finance

The primary purpose of the Consultative Committee on Climate and Sustainable Finance is to advise the ACPR on the best approach to taking sustainable finance targets into account and monitoring the commitments made by the financial intermediaries under the ACPR's remit. In this context, the Committee strives to promote constructive dialogue with all the stakeholders of the Paris financial centre.

 

The Committee contributes to the work carried out by the ACPR, in conjunction with the AMF, on the monitoring and assessment of the climate and sustainable finance commitments made by the institutions of the French financial centre. Within this framework, it seeks to encourage the adoption of consistent methods for the measurement and disclosure of financial institutions’ climate commitments, with a view to ensuring their comparability and their monitoring over time. This Committee also takes part, along with the AMF Committee, in the elaboration of the authorities’ annual report.
