Local authorities and their public institutions can help fund supplementary social protection cover for their staff where the relevant contracts and regulations guarantee that mechanisms are implemented to ensure solidarity between beneficiaries, current and retired staff.
Local authorities and their public institutions can thus help fund supplementary social protection cover for their staff where the solidarity mechanism has been:
- verified as part of the competitive bidding procedure;
- certified via the issuance of a certificate under the conditions laid down in Article L.310-12-2 of the Insurance Code.
Service providers tasked with certifying these contracts or regulations are authorised by the supervisory authority.
