Banque de France’ and ACPR’s Fintech Symposium in New-Yok on 28 March 2018

Banque de France and the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de la Résolution (the French Banking and Insurance Supervisor) invite you to participate to the first NYC French Banking Authorities’ Fintech Symposium “Transatlantic Perspectives on Fintech Innovation and Regulation” that will be held at the Consulate General of France in New York on 28 March 2018.

Please join us for this half-day symposium that will convene start-ups, investors, regulators and institutions shaping the FinTech agenda on both sides of the Atlantic. This event will provide an opportunity to discuss FinTech regulatory issues with French banking authorities and to share experiences, approaches and perspectives on a wide range of technological issues related to the US and European FinTech ecosystems: blockchain, digital identity, artificial intelligence, cyber security…

Representatives from the Innovation Hub of the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de la Résolution (the French Banking and Insurance Supervisor) will present the French regulatory single point of entry approach for project initiators and will discuss France’s licencing process. Banque de France’s experts will discuss the Central Bank’s approach to financial technologies and some of the Bank’s flagship projects that are at the forefront of FinTech experiments in the Eurosystem.

Presentation at the University of Besançon: "Fintech and digital revolution: what will the bank of tomorrow look like?"

While an annual conference is organized in the framework of the partnership between the Banque de France of Besançon and the University of Besançon, Pierre Bienvenu of the Fintech-Innovation Unit of the ACPR gave a conference on February 14th on issues for banks facing the digital revolution. The event brought together a hundred of students, academics and representatives of the banking profession.

Station F (world largest start-up incubator) : Master class of 5 December 2017 about the regulatory issues of Fintech and new technologies in the financial sector

Su Yang from the ACPR Fintech-Innovation unit led on December, 5th 2017 a master class at Station F, one of the world’s largest start-up incubators. Those master classes are organized by the French Tech. They allow Fintech and any other start-ups to meet regularly with representatives of public administrations. How to properly use algorithms in a digial world : Speech by Didier Warzee

Didier Warzee, Expert at the ACPR Fintech-Innovation unit, was invited by the Institute of Actuaries and SCOR on December, 15th 2017 to present the main observations of the ACPR on the proper use of algorithms by financial actors. Find below the detail content of his speech.

Big Data conference of Banque de France

On November, 24th 2017, the Banque de France organized a conference on economic and financial regulation in the era of big data. This conference brought together central banks, statistical agencies, research institutes and start-ups. Nathalie Beaudemoulin, head of the ACPR Fintech-Innovation unit, intervened to share her experience about the use of big data methods by financial institutions and their regulation. September 28th, 2017 – Matinée Fintech No 1 – Authorization of payment and e-money players

As part of ACPR's Fintech Morning (new periodic dialogue event open to innovative project leaders), organized by the ACPR Fintech Innovation Unit, Muriel Rigaud and Anthony Stéphan of the Authorization Department provided more than 50 Fintech payment and e-money start-ups with practical details on the process towards authorization and best practices in this area.
